We don't see things as they are, we see things as we are: Anais Nin

What do you see when you close your eyes?

This is The Aten.

Aten was a flame tabby - still is in The Other World

This is Aten After Dark

During the time I was painting The Aten , and for some time afterwards, when I closed my eyes or turned off a light I could see Aten After Dark. So I drew Aten After Dark.

This is not the first time my artwork has been influenced by things that have come out of what I am going to call The Temporal Zone. All of the Seraphim series of large oil paintings were influenced by what I see and hear that other people don't see.

I live in the twilight zone a lot of the time lately. I have had a recent escalation in symptoms so I have started to medicate again. There are a lot more drugs around now then there used to be but so far we haven't found the right one for me. So, I have decided to use the problems I have with my brain to a greater extent in my art.

Today I started the first in a series of drawings which I am calling The Temporal Zone. What I see when I close my eyes and when I have my eyes open in the dark.
